Grabbed a Subway for later. Chicken tikka, which US stores don't offer. But the only cheeses they offer are American and cheddar, and they were out of cheddar. They don't have oil and vinegar.
I'm staying in what I infer is an abbey turned into hotel/convention center. It's on Headingley Lane, much like 10th street Bton: a two lane road passing through a major university and thus bearing far too much traffic. Actually it might have had more lanes ones, but there's pedestrian refuges and bike lanes.
It's 46 F at the moment. I'm not really equipped for this. I packed thinking it'd be warmer later. I walked to this Thai restaurant in three layers, jumper over long sleeved shirt over T-shirt... It occurs to me that I didn't think this through. Plan was to travel, then settle in Boston, but unless I go so far as to winter over in South America, it'll be cold in Boston. I have perfectly fine jackets and coats already... in boxes in Bloomington.
